B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission welcomes anti-BDS legislation by U.S Senate and House of Representatives

The B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC), has welcomed the introduction of anti-BDS legalisation in the U.S Senate and House of Representatives that would penalize foreign countries and governmental organisation as well as international companies that participate in the BDS campaign against Israel.

Dr Dvir Abramovich, Chairman of the ADC, issued the following statement:

“We are pleased by the introduction of this bill which demonstrate the U.S. Congress’s unquestionable defence of Israel at a time when the biased BDS movement, with the alarming and shameful support of several countries and the UNHRC, is seeking to defame, isolate and delegitimize Israel on the global stage. It is our hope that this bipartisan bill will be soon passed by both houses, and send the unequivocal message that the harmful and unfair economic discrimination against Israel will not be tolerated. We look forward to President Trump signing the bill into law and hope that other governments will follow suit.”
