B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission shocked by Palestinian terrorist attack that claimed the life of a 13-year old Israeli girl

The B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC), Australia’s leading organisation fighting hatred in all its forms, has expressed its profound horror and outrage at the terrorist attack in Kiryat Arba by a Palestinian terrorist that claimed that life of 13-year old Hallel Yaffa Ariel. The 17-year old Palestinian assailant entered the teenager’s bedroom and repeatedly stabbed her. A member of the security team called to the scene was also stabbed before the terrorist was killed.

ADC Chairman, Dr Dvir Abramovich, issued the following statement:

“We are deeply shocked and saddened by this monstrous and senseless murder. There are no words to describe how heartbroken and outraged we are. This brutality is beyond comprehension. It once again shows that the enemies of Israel know no bounds in their bloodlust. Our prayers and thoughts are with the Ariel family whose anguish and suffering is unimaginable and whose lives have been scarred forever. This heinous attack is a result of the anti-Israel and anti-Jewish incitement so prevalent in Palestinian society which glorifies and celebrates terrorists and violence. We call on the international Community to swiftly and unambiguously stand together against those who would support the perpetuation of such an evil act and demand that Abbas and leadership of the Palestinian Authority stop the ongoing incitement against Israel.”

The Anti-Defamation Commission, founded in 1979, is Australia’s leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through educational programs that combat bigotry, prejudice and all forms of hatred.
