The B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC) has praised the announcement by pm of frenchFrench Prime Minister Manuel Valls of a three year action plan that devotes 100 million euros to programs and policies that combat “racism and anti-Semitism”.

Dr. Dvir Abramovich,  the Chairman of the B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission, issued the following statement:

“Three months after the tragic and heartbreaking attacks against Charlie Hebdo magazine and the kosher supermarket in Paris, I wholeheartedly welcome the launching of this much needed, ambitious and wide-ranging government strategy to raise public awareness, tackle cyber-hate, impose harsher penalties on hate-speech and fund anti-bias school based educational programs in the fight against growing intolerance and escalating violence and terror attacks against the Jewish community. This is a significant step and we applaud the bold leadership show by Prime Minister Valls in not only condemning and speaking out against anti-Semitism but also by demonstrating his commitment to addressing the disturbing assaults against Jewish individuals and institutions that pose a grave threat to French society.”
