B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission outraged by the terrorist attack in Turkey

Today, Dr Dvir Abramovich, Chairman The B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC), Australia’s leading organisation fighting hatred in all its forms, issued the following statement in response to the deadly terrorist attack in Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, Turkey, that claimed the lives of 36 people and left dozens injured.

“We are outraged and horrified by today’s depraved and senseless crime. We offer our deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims, and wish the wounded a speedy and full recovery. Once again, we are reminded that no one is safe until the evil of violent extremism that knows no bounds or borders, is defeated. This latest act of barbarity once again demonstrates that the civilised world must vigorously work together to mount a coordinated campaign to confront this terrorist scourge We hope that those responsible for this barbaric attack are identified and swiftly brought to justice.”

The Anti-Defamation Commission, founded in 1979, is Australia’s leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through educational programs that combat bigotry, prejudice and all forms of hatred.
