B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission bestows The Stephen Minz Award on community stalwart Barbara Wolfson

The B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC) has honoured Barbara Wolfson with its Stephen Minz Award in recognition of her long-standing and distinguished service for the B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission. The award, named in honour of the ADC’s first chairman Stephen Minz, recognises individuals who have rendered outstanding service to the mission of fighting anti-Semitism and all forms of hate. Ms Wolfson has held previous leadership roles including that of Secretary of the ADC, editor of the Courage to Care Newsletter, and executive member of B’nai B’rith Victoria.

Dr. Dvir Abramovich, Chairman of the ADC issued the following statement:

“Barbara Wolfson has devoted a lifetime to B’nai B’rith in the UK, USA and Australia, and has served the B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission with remarkable drive and distinction. She is a woman who epitomizes  meaningful community involvement and I am delighted to honour her untiring work with this prestigious award. To this day, Barbara continues the wonderful tradition of commitment to our cause that Stephen Minz represented, and keeps providing influence and inspiration for positive change. We are so proud to acknowledge her significant contribution, particularly her deep dedication to advancing our mission of fighting hatred and bigotry, and we look forward to many more years of her involvement in our organisation”
