ADC shocked and horrified over fatal terrorist attack in New York

The ADC has expressed its shock and outrage following the deadly terrorist attack in New York City that claimed the lives of eight people. The suspected terrorist, 29-year-old Uzbek national Sayfullo Saipov, drove a rented truck down the West Side Highway bike path killing eight and injuring nearly a dozen pedestrians, as well as targeting a school bus in lower Manhattan. He has been apprehended. According to news reports, a note, written in English, found in the truck, claimed the suspect in did it in the name of ISIS.

Dr Dvir Abramovich, Chairman of the ADC, issued the following statement:

“We condemn and deplore, in the strongest possible terms, this latest terrorist rampage that has claimed the lives of innocent people in NYC. It is with a sense of profound sadness that we mourn the fallen, and our hearts go out to their loved ones. We also wish the wounded a speedy and full recovery. This murderous attack once again demonstrates the absolute hatred and rejection of western values, freedom and humanity which Islamist terrorism encases within its midst. It reminds us that democratic societies are at war with these depraved agents of mayhem and death, and that we must never surrender to these deliberate assaults on our way life. Today, we stand the American people in their time of national grief, and redouble our resolve to defeat these evil jihadists who seek our destruction.”
