ADC horrified and shocked by terrorist attack that claimed the lives of three Israelis

The ADC has expressed its profound shock and outrage at the terrorist attack in the West Bank town of Halamish that claimed that life of three Israelis, a 70-year-old man and his son and daughter. The 20-year old Palestinian assailant entered the home as the family were eating their Shabbat diner and stabbed the man and two of his children. Another victim was evacuated to Shaare Tzedek hospital.  Hamas has called the attack “heroic” and a “necessary reaction” to new Israeli security procedures at the Temple Mount.

ADC Chairman, Dr Dvir Abramovich, issued the following statement:

“We are deeply shocked and heartbroken by this barbaric  and heinous act of terrorism. This brutality is beyond comprehension and demonstrates, once again, that Israel’s enemies know no bounds in their vicious bloodlust. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family whose anguish and grief is impossible to fathom and whose lives have been scarred forever. We wish the injured a full and speedy recovery.  This sickening attack and the ongoing wave of terrorism  engulfing Israel is a direct consequence  of Palestinian incitement over the issue of the Temple Mount and the dangerous anti-Jewish sentiment so widespread in Palestinian society. We call on the international Community to swiftly condemn those who would support the perpetuation of such a reprehensible, evil act and, urge  all nations to immediately demand that  President Abbas and the leadership of the Palestinian Authority stop fanning the flames of hate, especially over this sensitively religious issue.”
