ADC decries vandalism attack on cemetery in St Louis

The B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC), Australia’s leading organisation fighting hatred in all its forms, has decried the vandalism attack at Chesed Shel Emeth Society cemetery in St. Louis, where more than 170 headstones were toppled and damaged.

Dr. Abramovich, Chairman of the ADC, issued the following statement:

“Such abominable acts inflict pain on every Jew wherever they are, and we stand in solidarity with the Jewish community of St Louis and with the families affected. This senseless attack against the dead once again reminds us of the surge in anti-Semitism and the need for people of all faiths to speak out and to make it clear that such hate crimes will never be tolerated . We trust that the police will find the perpetrators and bring them to justice.”

The B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission, founded in 1979, is Australia’s leading organization fighting racism through educational programs that combat bigotry, prejudice and all forms of hatred.
