ADC condemns terrorist attack in Har Adar

The ADC has condemned the murderous terrorist attack outside the Har Adar settlement near Jerusalem that claimed the lives of two security guards and one border police officer. The victims are: Staff Sergeant Solomon Gavriya, 20, Youssef Ottman of Abu Gosh, and Or Arish, 25, of Har Adar. Another Israeli was wounded. The Palestinian assailant, 37-year-old Nimer Jamal, was killed by security forces. Hamas has praised the attack and has urged others to perpetrate similar assaults.

Dvir Abramovich, Chairman of the ADC, issued the following statement:

“We are deeply shocked and outraged by this senseless and heinous terrorist attack that is the direct result of the incessant anti-Israel and anti-Semitic incitement so prevalent in Palestinian society. Our condolences and sympathies are with the families of the victims, and we pray for the speedy and full recovery of the wounded. This endless string of brutal and callous assaults on Israelis continues with no sign of abating, and our thoughts are with the people of Israel at this difficult time. This vicious wave of violence that has engulfed the Jewish state for too long, means that Israelis cannot live their normal lives without the constant fear and threat of terror. President Abbas has been stoking the flames of hatred with his anti-Jewish narrative and his incendiary and false claims about Temple Mount. We implore the international community, which considers Abbas to be a credible partner in the peace negotiations with Israel, to pressure him to denounce these abhorrent attacks and to take all necessary steps to stop the campaign of bloodshed and to restore calm.”
