ADC chairman meets with new Australian Ambassador to Israel Chris Cannan

Dr Dvir Abramovich, Chairman of the ADC, met last week with the new Australian Ambassador to Israel, Chris Cannan. In the hour long meeting, the two discussed a range of issues, including the growing threat of global anti-Semitism, the UN and Israel, and the BDS campaign.

Dr Dvir Abramovich said:

“I was pleased to have the opportunity to meet with Mr Cannan for a very meaningful and fruitful meeting. I am heartened that Australia will be represented in Israel by an individual who understands international affairs and the challenges of the region, as well as the complexities of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We discussed the troubling BDS movement, the abuse by U.N agencies of their power to undermine Israel’s legitimacy and promote their anti-Israel agenda, and the surge in global anti-Semitism. I am confident that Mr Cannan will serve our nation well, and we look forward to positively engaging and working with him in his new capacity to make the Australia-Israel alliance stronger than ever.”
