B’nai B’rith International (BBI), The ADC, and B’nai B’rith Australia New-Zealand (BBANZ) have deplored the horrific shooting at the historic African American church that left nine dead in Charleston, South Carolina.
Dan Mariaschin, Executive Vice-President of BBI, ADC Chairman Dr Dvir Abramovich, and Morris Tobias, President of BBANZ issued the following statement:
“We are horrified at this senseless, heinous crime and are deeply saddened by the heartbreaking massacre of the nine parishioners. Attacking people as they pray is the height of depravity. Our thoughts, prayers and solidarity go to the victims’ families and to those injured in the attack. This hateful, violent act, reminds us again that we must do everything in our power to confront the evil and dangers of extremist, racist ideologies.”
