B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission shocked and outraged by terrorist attack that claimed the lives of two Israelis and injured six others

The B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC), Australia’s leading organisation fighting anti-Semitism and hatred in all its forms, has  expressed its profound horror and outrage at the terrorist attack in Ammunition Hill,  Jerusalem by a Palestinian terrorist that claimed that lives of two Israelis. Six others were injured by the assailant who opened fire and rammed his car into his victims.

ADC Chairman, Dr Dvir Abramovich, issued the following statement:

“We condemn in the strongest terms this depraved and evil act that left two Israelis dead and six others wounded. This latest episode of barbarism once again shows that Israel’s foes know no bounds in their desire to continue the ongoing campaign of murderous terror against Israel. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims whose anguish is unimaginable and whose lives have been scarred forever, and we wish the injured a full and speedy recovery. This sickening attack is a result of the anti-Israel and anti-Jewish incitement so prevalent in Palestinian society which glorifies and celebrates terrorists and violence. We call on the international Community to swiftly denounce those who would support the perpetuation of such a reprehensible act and demand that Abbas and the leadership of the Palestinian Authority stop fanning the flames of extremism against Israel. The ADC stands in solidarity with the government of Israel as it works to ensure the safety of its citizens.”

The Anti-Defamation Commission, founded in 1979, is Australia’s leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through educational programs that combat bigotry, prejudice and all forms of hatred.
