The B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC) has denounced the distribution of racist and anti-Islamic stickers by Neo-Nazi group Combat 18 in a Heidelberg children’s playground and shopping centre.

Dr Dvir Abramovich, Chairman of the ADC, issued the following statement:

“We must never give safe harbour to prejudice. This sort of intimidation and persecution is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated in Australia. I am alarmed and troubled that such abhorrent and hurtful brochures are being distributed in Melbourne. It is clear that that white-supremacists groups responsible for spreading these vile leaflets are determined to sow a message of anti-Muslim bigotry and intolerance in the hearts of residents and to undermine our multicultural way of life.  We denounce this racist campaign in the strongest possible terms and call on all leaders to publicly condemn the dissemination of  this extremist material.  It is our duty to effectively counter groups who wish to stoke the embers of divineness in our community and who are trying to expand their base by using the tools of hate.”
