The B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC), Australia’s leading organisation fighting anti-Semitism and hatred in all its forms, has decried  the anti-Semitic defacement of MP Josh Frydenberg’s office.

“Your Ford Flying Car is coming partly Jew to Josh!!” was daubed on the Minister for Resources, Energy and Northern Australia electorate office. The offender has been caught.

Dr Dvir Abramovich, Chairman of the ADC, issued the following statement:

“I am deeply troubled by the repugnant and vile personal attack on Josh Frydenberg and  find it disturbing that he has been singled out for intimidation because he is Jewish.  Such an offensive and ugly display of bigotry is a chilling and sad  reminder that Jewish-hatred is still a persistent and frightening reality in Australia and that we have much work to do  in countering  this kind of abhorrent racism.  The ADC stands firmly with Mr Frydenberg and strongly condemns this hate-motivated crime. We welcome the arrest of the individual responsible and trust that they will prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law so as to ensure that the community understands that anti-Semitism is not acceptable or permitted in our society.”
