B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission and B’nai B’rith Australia-New Zealand horrified and shocked by terrorist attack in Nice, France

Today, Dr. Abramovich, Chairman of the ADC, and Morris Tobias, President of B’nai B’rith Australia-New Zealand issued the following statement following the horrifying terrorist attack in Nice, France, that claimed the lives of more than 80 people, and injured at least 50.

“We decry this reprehensible and barbaric terrorist attack in Nice, France, in the strongest possible terms . Our heartfelt thoughts, sympathies and prayers are with the families and loved ones of the victims, and we and wish the wounded a full and speedy recovery. During this dark period of national grief and mourning, we stand in solidarity with the French people and government as they come to terms with this traumatic and heartbreaking tragedy. It is our hope that those who aided in the planning and in the carrying out of this brutal and wanton assault are swiftly brought to justice. This latest episode of barbarism and depravity is a stark reminder that no one is safe until the evil of terrorism and radicalism is defeated. It is the responsibility of the international community to unite in the battle against global terrorism that threatens our shared values as well as international security and peace.”

The Anti-Defamation Commission, founded in 1979, is Australia’s leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through educational programs that combat bigotry, prejudice and all forms of hatred.
