The ADC has congratulated Chris Cannan on his appointment as the next Australian ambassador to Israel. The ADC said it was looking forward to working with the new ambassador, and wished him success in taking on this important post.
Dr Dvir Abramovich, Chairman of the ADC issued the following statement:
“We extend our congratulations and best wishes to Chris Cannan on his appointment as the next Australian ambassador to Israel. We look forward to working with him in his new capacity and are confident that his knowledge and experience will be an important asset for strengthening the Australia-Israel relationship. We also wish to express our profound appreciation and thanks to Davis Sharma who served as Australia’s Ambassador to Israel with dignity and commitment and who tirelessly pursued the strengthening of the bond between the two nations. We wish him much success in a his future endeavours, as he moves on to the next chapter of his professional career.”
