ADC calls on one of the world’s biggest online shopping site to remove Hitler and Nazi-related products

The ADC, Australia’s leading civil rights organisation countering hatred in all its forms, has called on wish.com, one of the world’s biggest online shopping site that sells products directly to Australian shoppers in local currency, to remove Hitler and Nazi related products. An investigation by the ADC found that wish.com is selling swastika rings, 1935 German copy coins of Hitler, commemorative Nazi coins of Erwin Rommel, bullion bars of the Third Reich and Nazi souvenir badges.

Dr Dvir Abramovich, Chairman of the ADC, issued the following statement:

“I am disgusted and horrified by the blatant lack of sensitivity shown by wish.com and by the fact that any company would treat Nazi items, that represent the annihilation of millions, as a way to generate revenue. Nazism and Hitler do not belong on any legitimate website. We expect more from retailers, and the stomach-churning phenomenon of offering for sale merchandise which is used by many white supremacists to celebrate their warped and evil ideology has to stop. There needs to better monitoring on what is being sold on their website, and we call on wish.com to take a stand against racism and incitement, and to immediately withdraw these goods from their virtual shelves.”
