ADC shocked and horrified at tragic Texas church massacare

The ADC has expressed its horror and grief at the murder of 26 parishioners in the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs in Wilson County.  The gunman, Devin Patrick Kelley,  opened fire  20 minutes after the Sunday morning service was scheduled to start, killing 26 and wounding 20 worshippers. Kelley was found dead in his car.

Dr Dvir Abramovich, Chairman of the ADC, issued the following statement:

“This tragic and horrific massacre of innocent parishioners at a house of prayer is an unspeakable and hateful crime that is beyond words. We are all heartbroken and anguished by the callous disregard to life shown by this individual who took these precious souls. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to the families of the victims, to the congregation and to the community affected. We wish the injured a full and speedy recovery. We hope that the people of the United States take solace and comfort from the support of the many nations around the world who are grieving with them, including Australia. If this evil and senseless act meant to trample and disrupt all good people’s commitment to freedom of religion, tolerance, and to fighting the poison of bigotry, it will not succeed in robbing us of our faith in these causes. Today, we stand in solidarity with the American people and join them in praying for peace and healing.”
