B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission condemns German University for teaching students that Israel harvests Palestinian organs

The B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC), Australia’s leading organisation fighting hatred in all its forms, has condemned The Hawk University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hildesheim, Germany, for teaching that Israel harvests Palestinian organs and commits genocidal atrocities. An article included in the course syllabus titled, “Our sons are plundered of their organs” contains that blood-libel.

Dr. Abramovich, Chairman of the ADC, issued the following statement

“It’s sickening that in 2016 such old-age blood libels that were peddled by the genocidal Nazi regime, are now being promoted at a centre of higher learning in Germany.  Such despicable and abhorrent anti-Semitic myths— which are in essence a recycling of the medieval blood libel in which Jews were charged with killing Christian children for their alleged ritual use— must never find a home at universities and must not be allowed to corrupt the minds and hearts of young people. We call on leaders both in Germany and beyond, to denounce this big lie, that we know has led to the murder of Jews throughout history, and which is aimed squarely at demonising and vilifying Israel and the Jewish people. It is the duty of all good people to make it clear that such dangerous falsehoods and incitement should never be taught and legitimized.”

The Anti-Defamation Commission, founded in 1979, is Australia’s leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through educational programs that combat bigotry, prejudice and all forms of hatred.
